Microsoft decides to revive the Fable series, which marked a period with Xbox. The new game, which was first announced at the Xbox Games Showcase held in June, managed to create an agenda with the latest details.
What will Fable Reboot offer?
Developer Playground Games has switched to the alpha version of Fable. Some gameplay footage seen by US journalists revealed details about the game. Accordingly, the combat system in the new game of the series will be reminiscent of The Witcher series.
Acrobatic moves, evasive manoeuvres, finishing blows and magic attacks will be blended with hack-and-slash style. A variety of weapons such as bows and arrows, spells of different shapes, and a giant hammer that can damage multiple enemies at once will also be included in the game.
In addition to the giant chicken, one of the iconic elements of the series, the werewolf, which is neutralised by setting a trap, is among the noteworthy details. Perhaps the most striking development is the possibility that there may be more than one playable character in the game.
In addition to the female character seen in the previously released trailers, it was stated that a male character is also under development. Of course, it is not yet finalised whether players will be offered a choice of character.
This information from Fable after its announcement in June shows that the Playground Games team wants to add new elements while preserving the spirit of the series. It is expected to launch in 2024 for Xbox Series X/S, PC and Xbox Game Pass.
